As I near the six month mark since surgery, I often hear how great I have done and different I look. As much as that is nice to hear, I did not do it on my own. My support system has been great, from my loving wonderful husband, to my family, my doctor and his staff and even my co workers. I owe them a lot of credit for my success. I could not have done this on my own.
I don't think we tell the people in our lives how much they mean to us and we take it for granted that they all ready know. So thank you for standing by me and my decision to have this surgery. You were there for every ache and pain, every bad reaction I had to something I ate. Thank you taking me bra shopping or telling me when I was buying clothes that were too big. But most of all thank you for being there the tears, rage and all the joy that I have experienced in the last six months.
Remember, life is just a big support system. Some things make you strong while others tear you apart. Just make sure you help as many people that you can along the way. Because you never know when that day comes that you fall down and when you do dont be afraid to ask for help. Cause it takes a real person to know you cant do everything on your own and if youve lived your life right then youll aways have people to listen and help Don't take your friends for granted. Don't take yourself for granted either.
