This weekend, I truly can see that I still need to take it easy. Saturday, we had three stops to make. One was the salon to get my hair cut and colored. That did not go too bad, I was in a little pain. The next stop I had been excited about all week. We went to the Spice House in Batavia to get some spices. I love this place and it smells so good even from the outside. I got the spices I wanted, but by the time we were through, I had to go outside to sit on a bench and have Dan bring the car around because it was hard to walk. However, this did not deter me from going to tiger direct with Dan to pick out a new TV.
By the time, I got home, I had been out also six hours and my body felt like I had been hit by a truck. Even though my brain said GO, the body finally said NO. I am learning it will take the full six weeks to heal from all this. I have been able to walk 8 minutes on the treadmill which I am hoping improves a little every couple of days. I just have to keep working at this. Every day is a new day and I am getting stronger. My drain site does not hurt as much today as it did yesterday and I have worn a pair of jeans that I have not been able to wear in a while. Who can ask for anything more?
